Throughout her career, Jeannette has championed causes that promote children and family wellness and education. She began grant writing at First Nations Development Institute, then initiated an international awareness campaign advocating for corporate investments in early childhood education. She also led Playworks PA's anti-bullying and school climate initiatives, then spearheaded advancement for an urban farming and food education nonprofit and served as executive director of a food bank in Greater Philadelphia, helping to nourish over 130,000 individuals. Growing up as an expatriate in various countries instilled in her the values of collaboration, open-mindedness, and innovation, which she strives to incorporate into her work.
Jeannette has a BA in Political Science, Literature, and Studio Art from Drew University and a Master of International Law with International Relations from Kent University (UK). Living near Philadelphia with her husband and two sons, they enjoy hiking, swimming, and gardening together. In her free time, she writes young adult fiction and volunteers at Thorncroft Equestrian Center, a leader in therapeutic riding.
