Constanze Simmermacher

Constanze is a Global Principal at Jacobs, specializing in desalination and membrane treatment. With 20 years of experience in process engineering and project management, she is committed to developing sustainable and innovative water solutions. Holding an M.S. in Water Science from TU Dresden, she began her career designing ultrapure water (UPW) systems for semiconductor plants, gaining expertise in advanced treatment technologies. Over the years, her work has encompassed feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, construction management, and commissioning for water and wastewater treatment projects.

In her role, Constanze has held key responsibilities in the design, engineering, and execution of projects involving key water and wastewater technologies. Her portfolio includes expertise in the treatment of surface water, desalination, and water reuse, applied across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

In addition to her technical leadership, Constanze currently serves as a director on the board of the International Desalination and Reuse Association (IDRA), contributing to global initiatives that advance desalination technologies and water sustainability.
